Are you a good manager or leader? You likely have many traits and characteristics that enable you to perform your job confidently in many areas, but as with anything, there is also probably some scope for improvements.

That’s because the digital marketing industry often prioritises practical skills before soft skills. It’s a common career path to go from an exec/assistant to a manager/team lead position in a matter of years (or less!).

When you think of it like that, it’s hard to see where that management training would really have an opportunity to take place. One day you’re learning about a new feature in Screaming Frog, and the next you’ve got five direct reports who are sending you their holiday request forms.

But it’s nothing that can’t be addressed. There is nothing stopping you from becoming a manager that is patient, calm, respectful, helpful and understanding. These softer skills take some practice, but I’m here to support you on your journey.
